A woman who said she was repeatedly stabbed by a Hollywood actor started her testimony in his attempted murder trial this week.

Shelley Malil, known for small roles on TV and in movies like "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," is accused of trying to kill his on-again, off-again 45-year-old girlfriend He is charged with premeditated attempted murder

Malil was arrested and bail was originally set at $2 million; raised to $10 million and reduced to $3 million.
