$500,000 Bail For Ex-girlfriend In Ice Pick Attack At church.
A Yorba Linda man was stabbed several times with an ice pick by an ex-girlfriend, who had been hiding in the back seat of his car before attacking him as he pulled out of a church parking lot Tuesday.
The 48-year-old man, whose name was not released, was starting to pull out in when the 47-year-old woman, allegedly jumped from the back seat and began stabbing him in the head and shoulders with an ice pick.
Adding insult to injury he accidentally stepped on the gas and slammed his Mercedes-Benz convertible into a tree.
The guy had jilted the woman four months ago, but the pair continued to live together, officials said. He was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
“We’re still trying to figure out why she did what she did,” said the Brea, California Police Department.
The apparently unhappy Yorba Linda woman, allegedly ditched the ice pick and ran off but was caught by police shortly afterward. She was arrested for on suspicion of attempted homicide, felony domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a weapon and is in jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
