A 73-year-old Daytona Beach Great-Grandmother was not the easy mark a couple of purse snatchers thought she’d be when the woman leaned out of a car and grabbed her purse. Great-Grandma bit the woman’s hand and hung on the car as the male driver dragged her across the gas station driveway then sped down the street.

A passer-by saw the whole thing and followed the car calling 911 and keeping it in sight until police intercepted and arrested the couple.

Great-Grandma is bruised but OK. The couple are in Volusia County Correctional Facility charged with various crimes pending posting $15,000 bail bond.

Granny’s is pleased to have her purse and contents back and appreciative to the good Samaritan for chasing down the thieves.
