A 66-year-old man has been extradited from the Philippines to face 28-year old child sex charges in California. The man is being held in Riverside County jail on three 1982 charges of having sex with a then 14-year-old girl.

At that time he had been arrested, posted bail but fled. There will be no bail bond possible this time.

The FBI and Filipino authorities tracked the fugitive down and the Philippines cooperated in his arrest and extradition.

Reportedly the man was working as a doctor on the island nation. If convicted he could face life imprisonment.
