KFC Robber Has Chutzpah If Not Smarts

A would-be robber wielding a chain barged into a San Diego Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant slapped a heavy chain on the counter ordered employees into the kitchen but when he went to open the cash register he was stairing down the barrel of a gun.

The guy didn't count on one of the customers being an armed, off-duty, plainclothes police sergeant. But before he could open the cash register, the sergeant pointed his gun at the man and ordered him to the ground.

Even looking down the barrel of Mr. Smith and Wesson’s handiwork witnesses said the man demanded to see the officer's badge, and the sergeant complied.

The suspect was arrested for attempted armed robbery. He is held in San Diego County jail a baiul hearing.
