Police "Rescue" Then Arrest Teen Inside ATM
An 18-year-old Boston teen who apparently forgot how to use an ATM card had to be rescued by police after being caught inside an ATM. Police say he was attempting to steal from the machine.
According to Haverhill Deputy Police Chief Donald Thompson, deputies arrived on the scene to find the ATM shaking and thought someone might be stuck inside. When they opened the machine, Haskell smiled and crawled out. He was immediately arrested.
The young man arrived in court to answer to charges of breaking and entering, malicious damage, larceny and drug possession. Haskell sobbed throughout the hearing, prompting the judge to order a drug screen and postpone the hearing.
He remains jailed without bond, for violating probation on another recent case in which he is alleged to have harassed a special needs student. Nice kid.
