$750,000 Bail For Possessing Child Pornography

A 36-year-old Naples, Florida man was arrested on a warrant of 150 counts of possessing child pornography.

The man was jailed and charged with possessing child pornography. Bail was set at $750,000 or $5,000 per count and he was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with any minors younger than 18.

In February police began an undercover investigation in an attempt to identify persons using online file-sharing networks to download and share child pornography. Through the investigation, detectives tracked child pornography files that were shared over the Internet to an Internet Protocol, or IP, on a desktop computer located on Leawood Circle in East Naples, where Hinote formerly lived.

Detectives then went to the man’s residence and he gave them permission to search the computer. A preliminary forensic review of the computer turned up 75 video and picture files showing boys and girls engaged in sex acts with adults and alone. The children ranged in age from 4 to 12, reports said. Many of the picture files showed children who appeared to be around 4 years old engaged in sex acts with an adult male, reports said.
In most states it is a felony to possess child pornography
