In one of the most vile crime stories since those revealed during the NAZI trials at Nuremberg Argentina’s 82 year-old former dictator has been sentenced to 25 years for kidnapping, torture and other crimes.

He was commandant at the notorious Campo De Mayo torture center where only 50 or 4,000 imprisoned there left alive. He also oversaw a clandestine maternity ward seizing babies for sale and adoption by favored military families. His victims were mostly political dissidents.

Five others including former army officer received 17 to 25 year sentences. The Argentine Army ran the torture center.

The crimes took place 1976-1978.
