Three Held in Vicious Beach Stabbing Murder: $1 Million Bail
A 21 year-old man is being held without bail on murder charges for the fatal Tax Day stabb9ng of a 44 year-old transient man at Hendry’s Beach at the entrance of the exclusive Hope Ranch enclave adjacent to Santa Barbara, California. The slasher cut the man’s carotid artery producing a gushing blood trail as he bled to death.
A 19 year-old woman is being held on $1 million bail as an accessory to murder and a 17-year old girl is being held in Santa Barbara juvenile hall on related charges.
The crime was particularly vicious and shocked residents of the gated seaside cluster of luxury homes sometimes called 17-mile drive south.
Sheriff and police have not released details but alcohol and drugs are rumored to have been involved as a group lounged on a grassy area at the entrance to the beach.
