An 87 year-old Tehama County, California man is in jail accused of the rape of a 61 year-old woman. The man, a sex offender convicted of a lewd act with a child,, admits to having what he says was consentual sex with the woman.

He is being held in County jail accused of sexual penetration with a foreign object with force and sexual battery.

He remains in custody on $110,000 bail.
