Actor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi are scheduled to be in a Santa Barbara court room today to have a trial date set The couple face felony charges of defrauding the San Ysidro Ranch out of a $10,000 bill at the luxury resort in nearby Montecito. They pleaded not guilty.

The unpredictable couple forfeited $40,000 bonds when they failed to appear in court last December after having been tracked down and rearrested in Texas on a warrant. The pair posted new bail bonds to ensure their release.

The erratic behavior of the Quaids has sparked something of a cottage betting industry in Santa Barbara. Sunday it appeared to be an even bet they'd show up.
