A spry and imaginative 72-year-old Prescott, Arizona man has been arrested and charged with bank robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping.

It seems the man entered the bank that is inside a local store and informed employees the bank and surrounding store were wired with explosives that he’d detonate if the robbery was resisted. But, when he left police almost immediately intercepted him. The bank and store were evacuated and searched but no explosives were found.

The man is being held on a $500,000 bond at the Yavapai County Jail.
