Man Logs 18th DWI Arrest

A 44-year old Albuquerque man with 17 prior DWI arrests on his record was busted again Friday night after almost rear-ending a police cruiser going 87 miles per hour. The deputy involved said he swerved to avoid being hit.

The man was arrested for DWI and had a 0.18 percent blood-alcohol level, more than twice the legal limit.

In addition to the driving under the influence charge, he was driving on a revoked license and in violated of his probation. The last charge made him ineligible for bail and he is in jail.
