Door-to-door Executions in China's "Death Vans"
China, that executes more people than the combined total in the rest of the world’s nations. is expanding its fleet of “death vans” that deliver executions with door-to-door convenience. Unlike the United States and Singapore, the only two other countries where death is administered by injection, China metes out capital punishment from specially equipped "death vans" that shuttle from town to town executing the condemned.
Makers of the death vans claim the vehicles and injections are a civilized alternative to the firing squad, ending the life of the condemned more quickly, clinically and safely.
The “death vans” designer says the switch from firing squads to injections is a sign that China "promotes human rights now."
Another controversial benefit is that organs can "be extracted in a speedier and more effective way than if the prisoner is shot." Harvesting organs from the condemned for profit has been an ongoing allegation by human rights organizations.
The corpses are typically driven to a crematorium and burned before relatives or independent witnesses can view them adding to the allegation of organ harvesting..
