Dangerous in Day Care

Two Martinsville, Indiana police officers have been suspended with pay after they used a Taser to subdue an “out-of-control” 10-year-oldboyl at a local daycare center.
A official release said the officers were “trying to prevent the child from hurting other children, staff members and himself, slapped the boy and then used a Taser to subdue him.

The day care's owner called the boy a “problem child” and officers have been called before but did not want to comment on the case, saying only that it was in the hands of the Department of Child Services and police. He did say, “the boy needs help. “

Critics were quick to point out two adult police officers should have been able to subdue the child with tasing him and that the situation was more of a mental health or medical than a police issue.

No charges have been filed.
