A transient man armed with several weapons including a loaded handgun was arrested last weekend for creating disturbance, carrying an illegal concealed weapon. He asserted his “right to commit violence.”

The incident occurred when the man, his girl friend and others were drinking and creating a disturbance in a downtown parking lot. His “rights” will be examined by a local judge. No bail has been set.

Court-appointed counsel will be assigned to the seven suspects who were in court Monday because none of them had attorneys.
