Couple Arrested In Bizarre Shooting

A 51-year old Pahrump, Nevada man and his 50-year old wife have been arrested in connection with a bizarre March 1 shooting in Santa Barbara. The two accompanied by two other men knocked on a door and pushed a woman who answered to the floor. When her nephew tried to shield her he was shot in the face at point blank range with a high caliber handgun.

Miraculously the .45 caliber bullet entered the man’s skull and travelled part way around. The man remained conscious telling police what happened before having the bulltet removed at a local hospital. He’s reported to be making a full recovery.

The shooters fled the scene in a black Volvo and a local citizen upon hearing the report called police telling them he saw the suspects in the car at a local 7-11, and gave enough information to track them down.

The motive has not been disclosed nor has the identify of two other men who apparently were involved. The couple will be incarcerated at Santa Barbara County Jail pending a bail hearing and trial.
