ESPN Reporter Rejects Video Voyeur Apology

A 49-year old Illinois insurance company employee was sentenced to 27-months in the hoosegow for videotaping ESPN reporter Erin Andrews nude in her hotel room through the door’s peephole. It appears the video voyeur modified the peephole to use a micro camera lens to videotape the young woman in the undress and posted the videos on the internet.

The man apologized to her which she rejected saying he was a sexual predator and should have received the maximum sentence and a plea bargain should not have been accepted.

There are reports that the man travelled around the country and videotaped 16 other as yet unidentified women in similar ways.

In addition to 2 ½ years in the calaboose the man lost his insurance job and may lose his home as a result of the case. He has been free on $100,000 bond under conditions that include house arrest, electronic monitoring and restrictions on his use of the telephone and the Internet.
