After over a year of searching, authorities have found Amber DuBois. Unfortunately the 14 year old was found dead. Police fear that DuBois was killed by the same alleged killer of Chelsea King, John Albert Gardner III.

Amber went missing back in February 2009 when she was walking to school near Escondido California. The case went cold until 17 year old Chelsea King vanished while taking a routine run after school. When King’s body was found in a shallow grave near a lake, police began to fervently search for the body of DuBois.

There have been no charges filed in connection with the death of the 14 year old Escondido girl. Her body was found in a rugged area of Pala, which is a different area of San Diego than where Chelsea King went missing.

John Albert Gardner III is currently behind bars, as he was charged with the death of Chelsea King. He has pleaded innocent to the charges and is held without bond. In addition to the deaths of King and DuBois, Gardner is a suspect in an attempted attack on a Colorado area woman in December. The victim is reported to have allegedly identified Gardner in a photo lineup.
