NFL’s BEN ROETHLISBERGER AGAIN ACCUSED OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
NFL star quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been accused of sexual assault by a woman. The alleged incident occurred early Friday morning with the woman reporting it to the police at 2:30 am in Millegeville, Georgia. It seems that Ben Roethlisberger was out with friends visiting several area bars near his home when they met another group of women. The two groups had visited other restaurants and nightclubs during the evening.
The authorities have interviewed the woman and Ben Roethlisberger and both have given statements to the police. The woman was seen at an area hospital and later released. The police will continue to investigate the incident and so far, no charges have been filed against the two time Super Bowl quarterback. A statement from his agent, Ryan Tollner said that Ben is cooperating with the authorities and that he maintains his innocence and denies the allegations.
This is not the first time that accusations have surrounded the Pittsburgh quarterback. In 2008, a woman accused him of rape from an incident in Lake Tahoe. The woman stated that Ben Roethlisberger raped her in an area hotel. The case was dismissed, however, the woman has filed a civil suit. The six year Steeler veteran has also filed a counter lawsuit against his accuser, an employee of Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. So far, Friday’s allegations seem to have been dismissed after police reviewed the incident. Both Ben Roethlisberger and his agent question the motives based on the past incident.
