DWI - Driving While Inflammable
Drinking and driving is never a good idea. Drinking and driving a car – in this case a van -- that’s on fire should never even cross your mind. If it does, drinking won’t help make it go away.
Police arrested the driver of a flaming 1993 Ford van with driving while intoxicated, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
And when I say “flaming,” I don’t mean a ridiculously loud car that even Liberace wouldn’t drive. I mean, it was actually on fire.
The whole brouhaha started when firefighters enroute to another call spoted the flaming van, notified police while eventually flagging the man down near a I-70 entrance ramp.
The van was severely damaged the driver was taken to a local hospital for minor burns and released. Apparently his excuse was he didn’t notice the van was on fire.
Police charged the 47-year old man with DWI and it’s not “driving while inflammable.”
