Olympian’s Accused Murderer Bail Reduced to $1 Million
Accused murderess Jane Laut’s bail was reduced to $1 million from $3 million provided she surrender her and her son’s passports.
Laut is accused of the execution style killing of her husband, 1984 Olympic shot put medalist Dave Laut, at their Oxnard area home last August. Mr. Laut was shot four times in the head. Initially an intruder was sought but a week ago Mrs. Laut was arrested and charged with the murder and related weapons charges.
Her attorney, himself a former County Prosecutor has said it was self-defense resulting from a long history of abuse.
